  1. We have stayed in a number of locations (including other apartments) in Paris but we really loved the Notre Dame apartment. We stayed in January 2012. Booking was easy and Eirwen was very helpful. We were greated by Axel who showed us where everything was and how everything worked. He was also available to advise us during our stay.

The apartment has 3 pleasant bedrooms: ideal for our family of 4. 2 of the bedrooms have sensational views of Notre Dame. The main bathroom is pleasant. The shower room is very petit but manageable! The kitchen is modern and pleasant to cook in and the small range of provisions supplied was useful. The clothes washer and dryer work well.

The living room is very comfortable with sensational views. There are loads of books on Paris and travel guides to read: some old, some new. There are also some DVD’s to watch if you like! There is not much extra room to store cases but we managed to get ours out of sighte!

The towels and linens are very nice.

You can walk to so much from this apartment. Our teenagers could explore on their own when they wished. It is just a few minutes to Isle St Louis (can be touristy but the food shops and restaurants are useful and the atmosphere is still very nice). It is 5 minutes walk to the Marais; the Louvre is close by as are all the attractions of the left bank. The Tour d’Argent is a block or two away along the river; the lunch time fixed menu is good value and the food and the dining room are gorgeous.

You can buy food for your stay very easily as there are 3 small supermarkets in the next street (Rue Lagrange I think) and a number of food vendors of all types at Place Maubourg. The metro is also at Place Maubourg which is a very easy 5 minutes walk. There is a small but good Market in Place Maubourg on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, and there is a wheeled shopping carryall in the apartment if you need it. The Rue Mouffetard Market is just a short metro ride over the hill.

Things that you might need to be aware of: The main staircase is old as you would expect in a building of this age. It is negotiable with care but it might be best not to carry cases on it. The lift is very helpful.

All in all this is a wonderful and very well located apartment and we had a great time.

  2. My husband, 3 young children and I stayed in this apartment for 4 nights in August 2016. First, the view of Notre Dame is breathtaking and unobstructed. It was such a treat seeing the gorgeous view day and night. The apartment was very comfortable and very centrally located to all the Paris attractions. We’ve been to Paris six times and I’m only sad we hadn’t found this apartment sooner. We will definitely stay here again! Eirwen was very helpful coordinating our booking and answering questions. Sophie met us at the property to let us inside and was very nice as well. She even booked our transportation for us on departure day with Robert “the taxi” (though it’s a large luxury van). Robert was wonderful…right on time, had a spacious and clean van and even escorted us up to the Eurostar check-in counter so we wouldn’t get lost. You will not regret staying in this wonderful apartment!!
