The apartment is on the first floor (up one flight of stairs) in a historic building which is a former “hotel particulier” with a gorgeous cobblestone courtyard and a grand entryway. The apartment was comprehensively renovated in 2013, modifying the layout, adding a brand new kitchen and gorgeous dark wood floors.
The bright and airy living room has comfortable seating and overlooks the street.
The well equipped kitchen has a window that overlooks the courtyard, and the dining table that sits 4 to 6 people is next to the kitchen.

The entertainment center includes a flat screen TV. There is cable table television with some English news channels. Wifi internet is enabled throughout the apartment.

Master Bedroom

The Master Bedroom overlooks the peaceful courtyard and is furnished with a King size bed.  It also has a roomy closet.

Second Bedroom

The small second bedroom has a separate entrance off of the hallway and has side-by-side twin beds.  It is perfect for children or family members.

Bathroom Room and Separate Toilet

The adjoining bathroom has white tiles and has a bathtub with shower head above and a washbasin.

  2. Dear Erwin,
Thank you SO much for letting us stay at the apartment Haut Marais. We had a fabulous time in Paris and having such a wonderful flat to come “home” to each day really helped us enjoy our time there. We were so sad to leave! The location is great! We figured out our way to the Republic Metro station, and the city was open to us! The restaurants nearby were also excellent, especially that pizza place down the street (Le Bricole). Our last day, we followed a walking tour of Marais from one of our guidebooks and realized then how much cool stuff is right nearby! I hope to return to Paris again (because I never went to the Louvre) and I would definitely stay here again, if you will allow it.
    Yours truly,
    Bonnie Weiss

  4. I have rented from this agency five times and highly recommend any of their carefully curated collection of apartments in Paris. However, this gem in the Marais is my favorite one thus far. A friend of mine actually booked it while I was still there because of my effusive recommendation for this lovely apartment. I already plan to return next year. The apartment has beautiful light and comfortable furnishings that actually made leaving the apartment difficult during the first jet lagged days. I thought I loved my bed at home until I slept here for 2 1/2 weeks. Another wonderful part of the apartment is the deep tub/shower with amazing water pressure. There’s a washing machine but no dryer, which was fine since they provide drying racks. There’s plenty of closet space for extended visits and a nicely outfitted kitchen. The agency owner is very responsive and helpful should you need any assistance while there. Her greeters speak perfect English, as does the driver she recommends. Having a driver pick you up at the airport or train station is a must in my opinion, as navigating the RER with luggage is a nightmare. My husband, seven year old daughter, and I loved our time at this beautiful and inviting apartment. The building is gorgeous with a cobblestone courtyard and cerulean front door. Safety isn’t a concern, as the building has a code then another gate to unlock before reaching the apartment. Shops, cafes, restaurants, markets, and public transportation are within a few meters away. I promise you won’t be disappointed! I give it six stars not five!
