I wanted to tell you how much we enjoyed our stay in Paris at your lovely flat on rue du Cherche Midi!  The location couldn't have been more convenient, and the apartment itself was so comfortable! It was a wonderful coming-home place during our Christmas-time in Paris. Thank you so much for your hospitality. I hope to do business with you again!

DESCRIPTION

This spacious apartment is located on Rue du Cherche-Midi in the heart of Saint Germain. Known for its numerous cafes and stylish shops this area is always buzzing with vitality. The apartment is on the first floor (one flight of stairs up from the ground floor) of an 18th century building that was once a convent. With windows that look over the interior cobblestone courtyard and terraced walkways of the building, this apartment is exceptionally calm and quiet. Fully restored and decorated, the apartment is extremely well laid out. With 55 square meters (about 600 square feet) of space, one bedroom, and two pull out couches in the living room, it can potentially accommodate up to 5 guests.

LIVING ROOM AND DINING ROOM

Upon entering the apartment there is a large space with 3.5 meter high beam-lined ceilings and tall windows which incorporates the living room, dining area and open kitchen. Wall to wall Sisal carpeting, stark white walls and well thought out lighting give this space a sense of purity. Tastefully decorated in beige with plum accents and warm dark wood the living room is well-appointed and inviting. There are two comfortable couches that can each fold out into beds (one queen bed and one double bed), a large coffee table, a work desk, and an entertainment unit with a stereo, DVD player and cable television that receives some international channels such as BBC World and CNN International. Between the living room and the open kitchen is a dining table that can seat 4 – 6 people. It has folding leaves, which when closed, allow the table to be pushed up against the wall to seat 2 people.

BEDROOM

The bedroom is comfortable in size with a large Queen size bed dressed in quality linens, down pillows and a duvet. Light-wood colored dressers and shelves comprehensively furnish the room. There is one large window, with drapes, that overlooks the interior courtyard of the building. Leading off of the bedroom towards the bathroom is a large closet with hangers allowing for plenty of storage space.

KITCHEN

The open kitchen with custom cabinetry is fully equipped with up to date appliances. It features a long bar area that can seat up to 4 people. The kitchen is outfitted with sink, dishwasher, clothes washer, refrigerator, freezer, electric vitro-ceramic stove, electric oven, hood fan and microwave.

BATHROOM

There is one full bathroom in the apartment that adjoins the bedroom. The spacious bathroom with pale blue tiles incorporates a sink, toilet and bathtub with shower fixture and glass screen.

  1. Spent few days in this amazing appartment! It is great to have good sleep in Paris and being able to enjoy one of its greatest arrondissement! One of my best stay in the ville des lumières!

  2. The apartment is as pictured, very spacious and comfortable (including the bed), and as it is located facing an inner courtyard, wonderfully quiet. It is well-situated, with easy access to several Metro lines, and a great base to walk and explore the city. There’s a lovely boulangerie/patisserie just outside the entrance to the building, and the Bon Marche Grand Epicerie (gourmet foods) is also nearby, along with numerous cafes and restaurants. Washer and dryer were a big plus. We’d definitely stay here again.

  3. This apartment lived up to my high expectations based on the photos and description. It was well-equipped, clean, comfortable, and quiet. The location, close to the Grand Epicerie at the Bon Marche and the marche at the Blvd Raspail, was just great for us and offered easy access to the metro. I appreciated the comprehensive book of neighborhood recommendations and local tips the managers provided for reference, and also how responsive they were.

  4. We were very, very happy with this luxury apartment. It is large by European standards, and accommodated our family of four very well. It has a great central location — we enjoyed dinner at Cafe Nemrod across the street, as well as shopping at the Le Grand Epicerie nearby. The close proximity to the Luxembourg Gardens and many of the monuments was great. Although we didn’t use them, there is a bike rental stand around the corner. It is exceptionally quiet (thanks to the courtyard). We really appreciated the washer & dryer as well as the WiFi. The kitchen is well equipped. We definitely recommend this apartment — we would come back again in a heartbeat!

  5. This apartment was excellent for my family of 4!! This apartment is in a great location, you can walk to pretty much everything you need but if you’d rather use the Metro you have two lines just a stones throw away The Bon Marche, which is like a Whole Foods, is around the corner for light groceries and the Monoprix is also walking distance. The apartment itself was great, very quiet, the WiFi worked great, the sofa bed in the living was very comfortable my husband and I slept on it for a week and it was great even with adult weight, didn’t feel like a sofa bed at all. The kitchen had everything we needed for our stay and the washer and dryer were a great plus!! Most of the days we were there were cool but we used the A/C a couple of days because it turned hot and that too worked great, cooled off the whole apartment. Aside from this being such a great apartment and centrally located, Tamara, the person we met to get our keys was great!! She explained everything in the apartment and where everything was around us, she also arranged a cab for us to the airport at 5am for an early flight out. You will not go wrong choosing this apartment, we had a wonderful stay and will definitely stay here again if we return.

  6. My wife and I found this nice apartment to be an excellent base for our first trip to the continent. The apartment itself was spacious, clean and comfortable, Also, for those of you who enjoy a quiet location once you are inside, this is it. Once you step out into the street you are welcomed with the street activity you expect and you are so close to everything. Great cafe’s and restaurants. The Bon Marche Grand Epicurie if you want to get some high-end groceries and prepared foods to take home. A great boulangerie right next door and you are within a short walk to catch a bus or metro. (Do not be afraid to use the Paris transportation system; It;s easy and cheap). If you like to walk you are only a 15-25 minute walk away from the Seine, Louvre, Musee” d”Orsay, Luxembourg Gardens and many other sites. Sol’ne who represented the apartment and met us their on each end was helpful, sweet and charming and available if needed.

  7. Our family of five stayed at this apartment. It was clean, convient and comfortable. It was the first time in travelling that I booked an apartment and I definitely would go this route again. I would recommend this apartment for a great place to stay while visiting Paris.

  8. My husband and I spent a week in this apartment and, by week’s end, truly felt like we had become Parisians! The apartment was spacious (if a bit drab), very quiet and comfortable. We loved having the wifi available 24/7 and everything in the apartment worked just fine. Great to be able to do a wash before leaving — washer and dryer were good! Best thing about this apartment is where it’s located! Cherche Midi must be just about the best place to live in Paris! Great restaurants on the street or nearby, easy access to buses and the metro. The street is a hub of upscale, charming activity! Being almost around the corner from the food court of the Bon Marche was pretty nice too! We loved the boulangerie right next door to our building — we had marvelous freshly baked bread every morning before starting each day — heavenly! The other best thing about this apartment was our concierge, Solene, who was so helpful and kind throughout our stay….always available to answer questions, help us out and make us feel looked after. I have already recommended this property to friends and would come to stay again…..in fact, I hope we will!

  9. It was one of the few apartments we have seen and rented in Paris that was very accurately described. My wife and I spent a very pleasant week there. It was spacious with a very workable kitchen. Allof the appliances were very good. The bathroom size was very adequate. Would we stay there again? ABSOLUTELY. I have to add Soleine was also a big help.
